Sermorelin: what is known, and what is not.

Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide that resembles part of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). A sermorelin product was once FDA approved for a specific pediatric diagnostic and treatment use; that product is no longer marketed. That history does not establish adult wellness uses.

The mechanism

GHRH signals the pituitary gland to release growth hormone. Sermorelin was designed to mimic that signal.

Evidence and limitations

Research in adults is limited. It does not support promises of growth hormone restoration, fat loss, muscle gain or anti-aging outcomes, and claims from other drugs or historical indications cannot be borrowed.

Regulatory status depends on the specific formulation and how it is prepared.

How Level Health approaches it
